WHAT ARE THE BOARDS MADE FROM?
Our boards are a Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC), a mix of wood fibres and recycled plastic. They're tough, easy to care for, long lasting, eco-friendly, and don a gorgeous timber look. Plus, you can flip them over for a different vibe whenever you fancy. Get more info on WPC boards right here.
Will i need a building consent?
Think of our decks as a landscape feature. They are not attached to a building or permanently anchored to the ground meaning they are not classified as a building under the building code, and therefore do not require a building consent. If you do wish to obtain a consent we have all the documentation you need including engineers calculations and a PS1.
CAN IT TAKE A SPA POOL?
Sure! You just need to ask for the spa version - it comes with extra support to handle the spa weight. Hit us up for more info!
What is the warranty?
While our official warranty is for 2 years, the good news is that the boards are actually designed to last much longer – up to 25 years according to the manufacturer's pro-rata warranty! Our unique installation methods mean we can't be covered under their warranty, but rest assured, these boards are built to last beyond 15 years. Right now, we can only offer a 2-year warranty, but the silver lining is that our decks are a kit of parts – any damaged board or part can be easily replaced at a minimal cost.
CAN I INSTALL THE DECK OVER A MEMBRANE?
Yep! It's basically a floating deck, so no need to attach anything to the membrane.
WILL I NEED A BUILDER?
Nope, no need for a builder here. Our decks are super DIY-friendly and a breeze to put together.
how stable are the decks?
Our decks are essentially a floating platform and as such a slight degree of movement during use can be expected. While they are perfect for regular outdoor activities we recommend avoiding excessive loads, sudden heavy impacts or activities like mad dancing or jumping.
WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT?
The decks are engineered to 1.5kPa - that's about 150kg per m² for a 3x3m deck that's 1350kgs of distributed load.
What prep do I need on the site?
Super simple – just level a paver at each jack spot, and you're good to go. Check here for more info.
